The Old Town Bužim is a medieval fortress that dominates the landscape above the present-day town. Built in the 14th century, it was first mentioned in 1334 under the name Čava. The fortress sits at 325 meters above sea level and offers spectacular views of the surroundings.

How to get there: The Old Town is located on a hill above Bužim’s center. It’s a 15-20 minute walk from the town center.

What to bring: Comfortable shoes, water and a camera - the view from the ramparts is worth capturing.

Best time to visit: Spring and early autumn, when temperatures are pleasant for walking.

Plans include trail improvements and informational boards to provide visitors with the rich history of this fortress.
